FIX UP

Place the monitor on the table close to the system unit. A monitor has two cables; power cable and control cable. Power cable goes from the monitor to the power socket of the system unit. Control cable also goes from the monitor to the 15 hole (in three rows) female sockets of the system unit. Fit both cables in appropriate system unit. A mouse has only one cable that goes from the mouse to the 9 pin male, 25 pin male, pc/2 or UBS socket of the system unit. Connect to the keyboard as well which has only cable that goes from the keyboard the PC AT or PS/2 socket of the system unit. If printer is also there, then fit the centronics connector of the control cable to centronics socket on the printer and fit the 25 pin male connector or USB connector in the 25 hole female socket or USB socket on the system unit and to the socket of the UPS and then connect the UPS cable to the socket of the UPS and mans supply.

Connect the power cable of the printer to the mains supply when needed otherwise; keep it detached from the main’s supply.

Start Up

Switch on the mains supply; switch on the button on the UPS. Switch on the push button on the system unit; switch on the push button on monitor. Adjust the brightness and contrast knobs (on monitor) at the middle of maximum and minimum. Within a few seconds, your monitor will display the opening screen of the Windows XP or Vista.

Booting a computer means starting a computer. In Windows XP or Vista computer, booting is a very simple process; you sure that floppy drive A doesn’t contain any floppy, switch on the computer and within few seconds your monitor will display the opening screen of the windows XP or Vista indicating that booting is successful. When you switch on the computer the ROMBIOS (Read Only Memory Basic Input Output System) assumes the control of computer. Shut Down
